German Course A2 Level: Overview

German A2 course is the second level after completing A1. It’s designed to take your German language skills to the next stage. At this level, you’ll further enhance your understanding of the German language, making it easier to communicate and navigate the German-speaking world. By the end of the German A2 course, you’ll find yourself capable of:

Everyday Conversations: You’ll be able to engage in everyday conversations with confidence.

Reading Straightforward Texts: You’ll understand straightforward written texts.

Writing Short Messages or Paragraphs: You’ll be able to write short messages or paragraphs.

Expanded Vocabulary: Your vocabulary will expand.

Refined Grammar: Your grasp of grammar will be more refined, setting the stage for further advancement in your German language journey.

In summary, the German A2 course will equip you with the language skills needed to communicate confidently and navigate various situations in German-speaking contexts

 

 

Course Delivery Plan

130 hours of Instruction

120 hours of supervised activity sessions

60% Sessions provided by Senior Faculty (23+ years of experience in German Training)

40% Sessions provided by Junior Trained Faculty (Goethe B2/C1 Level Passed, with 1-2 years of experience in German Training)

– Numbers, dates, and time

– Simple vocabulary related to daily life

– Basic sentence structures

Unit 2: Everyday Life (12 hours)

– Describing daily routines

– Expressing likes, dislikes, and preferences

– Shopping vocabulary and transactions

– Talking about hobbies and leisure activities

– Forming questions and giving simple answers

Unit 3: Family and Relationships (12 hours)

– Describing family members

– Talking about relationships

– Discussing family activities and celebrations

– Expressing emotions and feelings

– Simple past tense: regular verbs

Unit 4: Travel and Directions (12 hours)

– Asking for and giving directions

– Transportation vocabulary

– Booking travel tickets

– Discussing travel experiences

– Using prepositions of place

Unit 5: Food and Drink (12 hours)

– Ordering food and drinks in a restaurant

– Talking about meal times and preferences

– Describing food and ingredients

– Cooking vocabulary and instructions

– Expressing likes and dislikes
